A GLP-1 food journal that takes one sentence

Say it your way
Type one sentence, “half a chicken bowl, felt a bit off, took my dose”, or add a photo of your plate. Crackers and broth count too.

Check it in a few seconds
We draft the food with a protein range, and keep how you feel and your dose exactly as you wrote them. Change anything that's off; nothing is saved until you say so.

See where your day stands
Today adds up your protein against your daily target, and every earlier day is a tap away when you want to look back.
Getting enough protein on GLP-1, one day at a time
With a smaller appetite, the hard part isn't eating less. It's eating enough, on days when a few bites and a cracker can be the whole lunch.
We add up the protein in what you write and show it against your daily target, so you know where the day stands while there's still time to eat.
What to eat on GLP-1, without a calorie app
A calorie app wants every meal searched and weighed, down to the teaspoon of butter, while your food gets cold. On GLP-1 the meals are small, some days are mostly crackers, and the number that matters is the protein.
| A calorie app | Dishsage | |
|---|---|---|
| What it asks of you | Search, pick a serving, every meal | One sentence or a photo |
| What it counts | Calories left in a budget | Protein toward your target |
| When you ate half | Recalculate the serving | Write “ate half” |
| How you feel, your dose | Another app, or a note somewhere | The same entry, in your words |
No streaks, no countdown. A record you keep for yourself.
GLP-1 friendly logging for the days you barely eat
Most food logs were built for big plates and strict plans. This one is built for small meals, uneven days and your own words.
Ate half? Say so.
Write it as it happened. The estimate follows what you wrote, so half a portion counts as half, and you can type your own number when you know it.
Your words, kept
How you feel and your dose are saved exactly as you wrote them, on the day you wrote them. We don't interpret them, and Dishsage never gives dose advice.
Ranges, not false precision
Protein comes as a range in grams, because a meal you describe is an estimate, and the screen says so.
Free, without an account
The journal is free and asks for no sign-up. When the AI drafts for the day run out, you can still save an entry as written.
Eating out: a high-protein restaurant meal, picked from the menu in your hands
Eating out, the question comes before the meal: which dish on this menu. A plan covers menu scans and removes the journal’s daily AI-draft limit. The first scan is free. Here it read all 21 dishes on the menu in this photo, and this is what came back.

- The dish
- “Chicken Mayo & Crispy Bacon”
- Named the way this menu prints it, so it's really there to order.
- Its protein
- ≈24–32 g
- How far this dish gets you toward your protein today, as a range: no menu prints exact portions.
- What to take home
- “Box up half the sandwich or bowl immediately before starting, keep chilled, and eat within one day.”
- When the plate is more than you'll eat, a plan for the rest before you start, so it isn't wasted.
- Two alternatives
- Tuna Mayo Sandwich and Warming Winter Buddha Bowl with Pulled Pork
- Two more from the same menu, for when the pick isn't what you feel like tonight.
Your data: no account, and your log stays on your phone
- No account
- The app never asks for your name or email. It gives your phone an anonymous ID instead.
- What you write
- Our service sends it to our AI provider to draft your entry, and doesn't store the text or the photo. The log itself stays on your phone.
- Menu photos
- We read them to find your dish, then they're gone. Our service keeps a record of each scan for 90 days.
- Deleting it
- You can delete everything our service holds about your phone from Settings, any time.

Questions about a GLP-1 food journal
What should I eat on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound or another GLP-1 medication?
Protein first, in portions you can finish: eggs, Greek yogurt, fish, chicken, tofu or beans, then vegetables. Dishsage adds up the protein in what you write, so you can see how close the day is to your target.
How do I log food when I can only eat a few bites?
Write what you actually ate, “three bites of salmon” or “half a sandwich”. The protein estimate follows your words, and you can change any number before you save it.
Can I log my dose and how I feel?
Yes, in the same sentence as your food. Both are kept exactly as you wrote them, on the day you wrote them. Dishsage doesn't interpret them and doesn't give dose advice.
Is Dishsage free?
The journal is, with no account. AI drafts have a daily limit, and past it you can still save an entry as written and add protein by hand. A plan removes the daily AI-draft limit and covers menu scans. The first scan is free, then a plan is $7.99 a month, billed through Google Play or the App Store. There's no free trial, and you can cancel any time in your phone's subscriptions.
What does the menu scanner do when I'm eating out on GLP-1?
Photograph the printed menu, the board over a fast food counter, or screenshots of a menu online, up to 4 photos in one scan. We pick the dish with the most protein you can finish, with two alternatives, and when the plate is big, the half portion and what to take home.
Is Dishsage on iPhone and Android?
Both are on the way. Dishsage comes to Google Play first and to the App Store about a month later. Leave your email and pick your phone, and we'll send one email when it's in your store.
What happens to what I write and photograph?
Your log stays on your phone, and there's no account. To draft an entry or read a menu, our service sends your words or photos to our AI provider and doesn't store the journal text or photo; it keeps a record of each scan for 90 days. You can delete everything from Settings at any time.
Is Dishsage medical advice?
No. This app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Know when Dishsage is on iPhone and Android
Leave your email and pick your phone. We'll write once, when Dishsage is in your store: Google Play first, the App Store about a month later.
