A high-protein restaurant meal that fits how hungry you are

We read all 21 dishes on the menu in this photo. This is what came back, and what each part does for you at the table.

The dish
“Chicken Mayo & Crispy Bacon”

Its protein

What to take home
“Box up half the sandwich or bowl immediately before starting, keep chilled, and eat within one day.”
When the plate is more than you'll eat, a plan for the rest before you start, so it isn't wasted.

Nothing to explain when eating out on GLP-1

A few bites in, you've had enough. The plate looks untouched, the server asks if you didn't like the food, and you end up explaining yourself.

Order the dish that fits how much you'll eat, and box the rest before you start, as planned. There's nothing to explain, and the evening is about the people you came with, not the food.

How to order at a restaurant on GLP-1 without the guesswork

  1. The question about how much you can eat at one sitting, with Small portions chosen.

Picks that fit how you eat now

Answer a few questions once: your protein target, how much you usually eat, what you avoid. No account, no email.

  2. The scan screen asking for a photo of the menu, with the camera and your photos as the two ways to add one.

The whole menu, read for you

Photograph the printed menu, the board over a fast food counter, or screenshots of a menu online, up to 4 photos in one scan.

  3. The Today screen after that result's pick is logged: Chicken Mayo and Crispy Bacon Sandwich counted toward the day's protein target.

Order and get back to the conversation

Order the pick, box the rest if the plate is big, and log it with one tap. Today keeps count of your protein.

What to eat on GLP-1, answered before you order

A calorie app helps after the meal, if you can find the dish in its database. At the table the question comes first: which dish on this menu, and how much of it you'll eat.

GLP-1 friendly means more protein in less food

Restaurant plates are sized for a bigger appetite than yours. So the pick puts the most protein in the least food, and plans for what you won't finish.

  • Protein first

When there's little room, the pick is the dish with the most protein you can realistically finish, with its range in grams.

  • Less left on the plate

When a plate is big, we say so, suggest the half portion and tell you what to take home.

  • Right for today

Some days you want less than others. Tell us how much you can eat today, and the pick changes with it.

  • Never what you avoid

Allergies and foods you don't eat are a hard filter: a dish that conflicts is never the pick. Menus may omit ingredients. Confirm allergies with the restaurant.

Questions about eating out on GLP-1

What should I eat at a restaurant on Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound or another GLP-1 medication?

Protein first, then vegetables, in a portion you can finish. At most restaurants that means grilled, roasted or braised meat, fish, eggs or tofu, with the sauce on the side and a box for what you don't eat. Dishsage reads the menu in front of you that way and names one dish.

Can Dishsage find GLP-1 friendly fast food?

Yes. Photograph the board over the counter, or take screenshots of the chain's menu online, and we pick the highest-protein order that fits your appetite from what's actually on it.

What if I can only eat a few bites?

That's who Dishsage is for. Set your usual appetite once and change it for today when you need to. From the menu you photographed, the pick is the dish with the most protein you can finish, with two alternatives; when the plate is big, we suggest the half portion and what to take home. Log it with one tap, and Today shows your protein for the day.

Does it work with any menu?

Any menu you can photograph: printed, on a board, or screenshots of a menu online, up to 4 photos in one scan. Handwriting and very dim photos read worse, and we say so when we couldn't read a line.

How much does the menu scanner cost?

The first scan is free, so you see a result for your own menu before you pay. After that a plan is $7.99 a month, billed through Google Play or the App Store: it covers menu scans and removes the journal’s daily AI-draft limit. The journal itself is free. There's no free trial, and you can cancel any time in your phone's subscriptions.

What happens to my menu photos?

We read them and don't keep them. There's no account, our service keeps a record of each scan for 90 days, and you can delete everything from Settings at any time.
